Hear hear! ...........and hand the man a beer. :D

When I started using GB, I didn't really think much about it being a community. For the longest time, it was just a side-blog whenever my main one would conk out and I really needed to put my thoughts out there. But looking back at the archives, I see that it's almost been a year that I've been g-blogging. I'm very happy with it. Very excited about GB2 also. Can't wait what new features and tweaks are in store. I appreciate the work that you've put into this site, and have come to acknowledge the community that goes with it.

Thank you G, for giving the net G-blog. Keep up the good work (:

Well put - all very sensible (other than the .NET bit - are you mad?) Things have been a little up and down recently - hopefully the common-sense rule will kick in from now on.

Any chance of a PM function in v2 or would that be against the ethos of the site? Just for dropping members a line without needing email addresses etc - possibly a security risk I suppose but even if it was just friendfriend it would be cool! :)

    Aside from that - g-Blog rocks! :)

Nope, but on my feature list is a contact form for every registered user. :)

    cool :)

Contact form? YAY!!! There have been many times I've wanted to send a personal/private message to someone but couldn't because I didn't have an email address.

G-blog is the best. Funnily enough, my idea of G-blog from the beginning was exactly the opposite of petrol's. I thought of it as a community first and my "blog" second. I will always think of it that way. If I wanted to talk to myself so much, I could do that in Word. ;)

Great job, Gossip. Can't wait for V2.

It's definitely interesting how different people use g-blog. Some use it as a notepad for thoughts to themselves. Some thrive on the conversations with the community at large. Some seem to use it only to chat with their real life friends. I find I actually have to remind myself once in a while that just because I don't like how someone's using g-blog doesn't mean theirs is not a legitimate way to do so!

    How do I use G-Blog?

    Not enough :D

I wish there was a way to write entries without being at my computer, but I doubt I could afford the necessary gadgets.

I just sort of use it when I feel like rambling.

Wish there was a views counter for entries so I don't feel so bad when no one comments on what i write :-D

Little quicky for you - any chance of getting the [Logout] swapped with [control panel] or something else at the top menu??

I ask because I use the comments tracker extensively, and because I'm a total uncoordinated tube, I keep missing and logging myself out!

    Doh! ;)

    E.

Yeh I do that every now and again, and no matter how quick I am to hit the stop key it still logs me out. lol

don't do away with the logout button! otherwise, how do you logout on a public (or at least shared) machine. Some of us (like, say, me) use them.
  • Effendi · 5 years ago
No noire - I was advocating *moving* it only. I keep hitting it by mistake! :)
