An excellent choice. I really like Firebird and as I don't really depend on email to accomplish things, I haven't run into any of the problems I've heard Thunderbird can have. The thing I like the most is that you don't have to install them. Just unzip and run. What I'd love to have is a USB keychain disk. Plug into any computer and I have a superior browser ready to go.

Having spent a bit of time lately on some OSX Macs I'd have to day that Camino is quite nice as well.

No install? I'll have to check that out, then. I just hope Firebird fits on my little USB keychain disk with all the other crap on there. I've been thinking about making the switch, but plain old Mozilla has been working just fine for me. This may well tip the scales in Firebird's favor.

Been using both at home for some time now (Firebird since it was called Phoenix, Thunderbird since the 0.1 release) and must say they are great. There is very little that Firebird won't handle these days and Thunderbirds built Spam handling is brilliant. And I've had very few problems with either.

    Good choice Gossip :)

Yeah, I'm running Firebird in the office for quite some time now, and I love it. They've fixed some memory leaks lately, and now it's ready for my home desktop as well. :)
