That is what i really like... tech support which doesnt treat you as if you know nothing about whats going on and gives you a really detailed account of the situation.

They actually have a drop down on the support request which lets you specify how clued up you are: options are:
Please explain everything to me very carefully I do know some stuff, but please don't assume too much Overall I know my stuff, but I'm a little shaky in this area I have a good understanding of this stuff Not to be rude, but I probably know more about this than you

I'm back from the wedding weekend, and here's an update:

I was quite shocked Thursday morning when the database was gone. It had completely vanished from the DB web panel, and I contacted their support right away. Thankfully, all is well again in G-Blog country now. *phew* Thanks for your understanding. :)
