    sighs.

How life changes. It seems so not very long ago that I was posting in the big inhibitor chip debate. Cursing the developer's short-sightedness, and almost resigning myself to a life of border patrols and civ/unreg campers.

Amazing to see how those threads would generate 500+ replies. A game that provoked the most passionate responses in so many people.

I hold it up as an example to people like the ex-girlfriend who never understood online games - anything which can engross people to that extent is a community. It might not have houses, or taxes, or laws, but PlanetJumpgate was still a community, in all the ways that mattered.

PlanetJumpgate contributed so much to Jumpgate. The closing of PJG finalised the server split and marked the beginning of the end (for me)

The end of PJG was really the end of Jumpgate for me. PJG was what made Jumpgate a narrative, without it the game no longer had any kind of center.
