Jaye and myself managed to pass the little'un off onto my parents for one Saturday evening a month back as we'd been invited to a post-wedding party by friends of ours. We dropped the baby off, headed home grabbing a curry on the way, downed a bottle of wine and got changed. The party was one of those "we headed across the channel and brought back a transit van of Chardonnay" affairs, with plenty of lovely food. We ate, drank and made merry.
The next day we had the worst hangovers we'd had in years and were exhausted. I also had numerous cuts, bruises and abrasions and the door to the wardrobe had come off...I think I remember falling into it.
No shit we're getting too old for this stuff...
I hear that!
My idea of "staying up late" now consists of making it to one minute past midnight. Then I carry my tired old ass off to bed, all proud of myself. I won't even get into what constitutes "partying" or a "night out on the town" anymore.
*sigh* Yes, I see the pathetic in that.
Never too old to party!
:)
A lot more time. A whole lot.
As a result, many choose not to try. ::cries::
Just 'cause my bedtime has moved to 11:00 (11:30 in reality) doesn't mean we are old. I could pull an all-nighter for a good 'cause. WarIII comes to mind.

So, to paraphrase: I am too old for this shit. *sigh*
Just make sure you don't run into this one. ;)
lmao
