I enjoy Sinfest, but I don't think it is overly funny all the time. I more enjoy the pointed social commentary.

Sinfest is very uneven, and each of the various story lines is uneven within it. However, each of the storylines has something to appeal someone, even if they don't find the other storylines appealing.

I do think he shouldn't have had the Devil just quit and walk away - that storyline's been limping a lot more lately because of that.
