That might have something to do with the fact that Apple produce one of Sony's major competitors in the personal digital movie space, the iPod. And that Apple have been more succesful in getting the iPod accepted than Sony has with MD throughout its life.

Want personal digital music on an Apple, buy an iPod :)

Doesn't currently work with Virtual PC, so don't waste your time there.
