IMHO...
I do not think that there are any unnecessary features in GLUE right now, but I also think that you're damn close to having all the necessities for the core code, if you haven't already reached that point.
I think you should cut a release as it currently is and implement additional features as easy-to-install "add-ons."

Frankly I like it the way it is - but I'm just a happy user. You need a few cynics to get the real-world shakedown. Seriously though, anything extra can wait. Seems like you've got a pretty complete set of features to start with.

I agree. For the most part, I think all 1.0 needs is a few more themes and fixes for any bugs you want to take care of.
You'll want to be careful and limit the amount of "feature-creep", otherwise you'll never be at 1.0.
New stuff is always good - (if it makes sense for the project) but new stuff can always wait until 2.0.
On a side note, I still have one little CSS bug I want to squash in my current theme - then I can bang out the grey and green versions. I just haven't had a lot of time to work on it. Most of my free time these last few weeks has been devoted to wedding-related stuff. I want to have them done for GLUE 1.0 - but I don't want to be the one to hold up the release.

I think G-blog is great the way it is. Sure, I wouldn't mind having titles for all the posts, but I don't think its necessary or that everyone wants them. So I do them in bold at the top of my entries.
I certainly don't need things like dancing faces, etc.

A subject line is something that I would like but it's no big deal. From what I've seen so far the quality is outstanding. Easily first release material.

Although I do fill in my own subject line normally like Zhaneel says, I think things are good the way they are now. Functional, yet simple and clean interface. Anything beyond that, unless it kind of fits quietly into the interface as is, would start to clutter things up in my opinion.
