Sometimes everything does suck for no descernable reason. When it happens to me I put it down to my head rebelling against modern living. You know the kind of thing, having to get up too early in the morning for work, staying awake too late at night just trying to get some personal living time in, weekends being too short. I have to try real hard to focus on the good things, which is hard when your tired and I don't only mean the sleepy kind of tired.

    There you go.

Ahh, and another thing. What you do with PJG is appreciated by 100's, probably 1000's of real people. I mean really appreciated. That doesn't suck.

    hang in there, mate.

I'm in the same boat. Anything and everything about work basically sucks in ways which i previously thought unimaginable until now. We've got a huge web-app rollout supposed to happen thursday, but the server-farm people seem to have not taken care of things on their end... so, we will probably miss our one-application-rollout-a-month window on thursday night, and we'll take the heat for it. not to mention the possibility of losing my job is still over my head.

you've got some damn good positives going for ya though, mate. I wish i was 50% of a happy couple, but unfortunately i head home every night to an empty apartment. but, i do have JK2 and DS to pass the time :) Not to mention I need to finish up that thing i was working on for ya. bugger, i need a vacation too.

shoot me an email if ya want to smack me around with a lightsaber one of these days. i promise i won't force-grip you into the walls :)

    Hang in there.

Sometimes we all have really really bad days for no apparent reason (or, conversely, with many good reasons, which is even worse).

I am having a crappy day at work too (though not as bad as you and ekoos, so I won't elaborate).

*lots of hugs for both you and ekoos*

    It'll be ok. Really.

[Quote] I am bored. I want to go home. Everything sucks. I am angry and about to go ballistic without real reason. [Quote]

Understand the feeling completely. I go through a phase like this at work every couple of weeks, convince myself it's really not so bad for a little while, then fade back. Trying to channel this annoyance into motivation to look for and obtain another job. I've applied to a couple in the last two weeks. Not a lot out there, but even applying to a few each week is better than just sitting here and stewing about how great my job isn't.

Enjoy your time off! I'd take a mental health day, except I'm trying to save my vacation for later this year.

And that's similarly one of the reasons I'm not perpetually depressed. Except for work, life is good. Need less work and more of life....

Istvan, I'm kinda happy in my job... even now, where we don't know where this boat is heading to - the co-workers are cool and the work is cool.

BTW, after playing JK2 for 3 hrs straight last night I felt better. I think it's worth a study how scything thru hordes of Stormtroopers can improve one's mood... ;)

Couldn't agree more about the job, Gossip. I love mine, but the current "uncertainty" of where things are going has me stressed. As for the work that I do and the people I work with, I'm quite content :)

Hey, have you gotten the lightsaber yet, in the SP game?

I lost my savegame when windows fried on me. My friend says the game gets insanely more fun after you get the third level of saber ability.
  • Carlo Zottmann · 7 years ago
Yeah, I'm approaching the last story setting already. All my force powers are level 3 by now, and it's just too cool to force-grip/choke an imperial bigwig while using the other hand to throw the lightsaber around to "clear the surrounding area". ;)

LOL! damn, i gotta get back into it then. DS has me hooked right now though.

I played Dungeon Siege last night with a friend from back in school. DAMN is that game fun to play co-op over the net. We're gathering more people if we can, trying to make it a weekly/bi-weekly thing.

I know that kind of day. on the positive side JKII is absolutely amazing. I beat the game pretty quick but saber+20 stormtroopers=FUN. Plus i l ike fightin the dark jedi. for a cheap thrill use force speed. The world will slow down and u can then get behind pesky enemies.
